We are seeking experienced Excavator Operators and Civil Operators to join established civil contractors working across a range of infrastructure projects throughout Wellington. These opportunities cover a mix of bulk earthworks and detailed drainage work, with strong pipelines of ongoing projects.
You’ll be working in experienced site crews across varied environments where precision, productivity, and teamwork are essential. We are particularly interested in operators with GPS machine control experience, asphalt experience, and the ability to work accurately to grade.

Key responsibilities
  • Operating excavators and civil machinery across infrastructure projects
  • Carrying out bulk earthworks and detailed drainage works
  • Completing trenching and excavation activities safely and efficiently
  • Final trim and detailed finishing work (for senior operators)
  • Operating alongside ground crews to maintain efficient site delivery
  • Using GPS machine control systems where required
What we’re looking for
  • WTR endorsement is essential
  • Proven experience operating machinery on civil construction sites
  • GPS machine control experience highly valued
  • Asphalt operating experience advantageous
  • Experience across bulk earthworks, drainage, and infrastructure projects preferred
  • Strong awareness of site safety and machine operation standards
  • Reliable operators who work well within site crews and take pride in their work
