Senior Java Developer (Full Stack)

Peoplebank have been engaged by a growing company to recruit their new Senior Java Software Engineer.
 
This is a full time, permanent role, based in the Adelaide CBD in their newly fitted out, modern offices. There is a hybrid work set up, but you MUST be based in Adelaide and willing and able to work in the office 2 to 3 days per week.

Indeed, as a Senior Full Stack Developer, you will require deep technical proficiency, with the ability to navigate a variety of client requirements, where you will designing new functionality and improving current core capabilities. Key Responsibilities

• Build & Deliver: Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-quality solutions for our payments platform
• Leverage AI: Use AI tools to accelerate development, explore system architecture, and understand complex dependencies
• Quality & Security: Ensure performance, reliability, and security are embedded in everything you ship
• Diagnose & Solve: Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issues efficiently and effectively
• Collaborate Globally: Work with product, engineering, and client teams across different time zones
• Contribute to Decisions: Engage in technical discussions and solution design with confidence and curiosity

 
Skills and Experience

• 7 to 10+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Java: Outstanding real world, professional experience in Java development is essential.
• Database: Deep knowledge of relational databases (MySQL) and OO concepts.
• Core Stack: Experience with Spring Core, Spring MVC, and Hibernate.
• Front-End: Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JSP.
• Modern Workflow: comfortable using AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity and writing comprehensive test cases for all new code.
• Any experience in banking / finance / billing / payments systems would be beneficial, but not essential
