    Position Summary

    The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive healthcare services to students, promotes student wellness, and supports a safe educational environment. The RN collaborates with administrators, teachers, therapists, families, and community healthcare providers to meet students' physical and medical needs.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for students.
    2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
    3. Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid and nursing interventions.
    4. Monitor students with chronic health conditions and develop individualized healthcare plans.
    5. Maintain accurate and confidential student health records.
    6. Conduct health screenings and assist with immunization compliance.
    7. Collaborate with educational teams to support student success and participation in school activities.
    8. Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings when health services are required.
    9. Educate students, families, and staff on health-related issues and emergency procedures.
    10. Train school personnel on medication administration, seizure protocols, diabetes management, and other health needs.
    11. Ensure compliance with state nursing regulations and school policies.

    Qualifications

    1. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
    2. CPR and First Aid certification.
    3. Experience in pediatrics, school nursing, behavioral health, or special education preferred.
    4. Strong clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
    5. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
