General Purpose
The Radio Network Design and Optimization Engineer interfaces with customers to provide network design and performance related to services.
Main Responsibility Area
- Required to perform the delivery of network planning and optimization projects according to the agreed scope of work (SoW), while managing customer’s expectations and schedule of acceptance along with Nokia PM.
- Performs critical (sometimes escalated) design and performance activities in customer projects independently. These may include complex problem solving in projects with performance requirements and multi-vendor environment.
- May lead / perform a project team with responsibility to create plans and delegate tasks to team members
- Provides support to clients and/or customers (typically on site) in his field of expertise.
- Required to propose / build the further business project from our customer along with Solution team and Sales team technically.
- Required to build the strongly mutual relationship with the lead engineer of our customer, and boost their satisfaction level.
Position Description
The Radio Network Planning and Optimization Engineer will be required to lead a team of Radio engineers and work independently to perform Radio network optimization activities during network deployment phase like the following scope.

- Reactive Optimization/ Trouble-shooting by NW KPI, UE log, some detail log.
- Pro-active Optimization to avoid quality degradations
- Capacity Management and Assurance
- Parameter Optimization to meet the target KPI level
- Position Requirements
- A minimum of 3 year Engineer experience on Telecommunications Project
- A minimum of 2 years work experience in Radio Network Planning for LTE.
- A minimum of 2 years good work experience on LTE Radio Optimization
- Deep knowledge of LTE KPIs - expertise in creating and analysis of statistical KPI reporting
- Expertise with RF Planning tools, Drive Test measurement tools and post-processing tools
- End-user / customer problem investigation
- Result oriented with focus on product quality and customer satisfaction
- Team player, open communication and ability to work in international team
- Technical Leadership for Colleague & Customer, and good mentor of the junior engineer (Mandatory)
- Capability to build the close relationship with the lead engineer of our customer (Mandatory)
- Excellent Speaking & Writing skills in English & Japanese (Mandatory)
