Assignment Information: DHS/LA County-Olive View UCLA Medical Center is currently in need of highly skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) with a minimum of one (1) year of recent Post Anesthesia Care nursing experience in a community-based acute care hospital. RNs must have worked in a Recovery Room, providing ICU-level care to post-procedural patients, and have successfully completed formal training in post-anesthesia care. RNs must have experience caring for patients recovering from procedures originating from various areas, including the OR, IR, Cath Lab, GI, ECT, and pain procedures, as well as Orthopedics, Robotics, Ophthalmology, Colorectal, ENT, Plastic Surgery, Gynecology, Urology, Vascular, Podiatry, Thoracic, and General Surgery. RNs

must be skilled in monitoring patients’ vital signs, managing post-anesthesia complications, administering medications, and providing patient and family education. RNs must be adaptable, knowledgeable in PACU protocols and patient safety measures, and able to anticipate and respond to the needs of recovering surgical patients to ensure a safe and efficient recovery process.

Ensure that profiles are submitted only for RNs who are fully committed to working an 8-week assignment.

Required certifications include active Registered Nurse license, AHA BLS/ACLS/PALS, MAB or CPI, LA City Fire and Life Safety card (must be LA City), and must complete the LA County Employee Health Clearance before assignment start date.
