- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Bank Reconciliations
Key requirements:
- 5+ years' payroll experience
- Strong award interpretation skills, ideally SCHADS Award
- Experience with salary packaging
- Experience within a not-for-profit environment (preferred)
- Experience using CHRIS21
Finance and Payroll Services
- Provide support and guidance to staff on payroll and finance matters.
- Coordinate and process payroll, including salary packaging, superannuation, taxation, overpayments, back pay, timesheets and PAYG reporting.
- Calculate redundancy payments and other payroll estimates as required.
- Complete monthly and year-end payroll processing and reporting.
- Maintain payroll systems and interfaces with other client systems.
- Liaise with salary packaging providers and relevant internal teams regarding payroll matters, salary increments and award increases.
- Administer superannuation, taxation and PAYG requirements.
- Generate regular and ad hoc payroll reports.
- Assist with payroll policies, procedures, legislation, EBA and award requirements.
- Assist with NOE and VOE processes and maintain related records.
- Manage petty cash, credit card expenses and reimbursements.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including financial data entry.
- Process income receipting, banking and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure creditors are paid accurately and on time.
- Review and update finance procedures and work instructions.
- Respond to and resolve finance enquiries.
- Assist with audit preparation and engagement.
- Monitor and triage shared Finance and Payroll inboxes.
- Undertake general administrative duties as required.
Financial Management and Reporting
- Provide timely reporting on achievements, outcomes, KPIs and risks.
- Ensure accurate and timely data is available for funding and stakeholder reporting.
- Monitor and report on quality and financial performance indicators.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
- Develop and maintain respectful, responsive relationships with relevant stakeholders and agencies.
- Ensure stakeholder reporting requirements are delivered accurately and on time.
- Contribute to the review and improvement of stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Maintain effective two-way communication with senior management.
- Support staff participation in decisions affecting the service area.
Quality, Risk and Compliance
- Deliver services in accordance with accreditation requirements, legislation and service agreements.
- Monitor operational practices and identify issues affecting service outcomes.
- Identify and report risks and concerns to relevant management in accordance with client policies and procedures.
- Support compliance with relevant payroll, finance, privacy and reporting requirements.
