Capture Recruitment is proud to partner with an Australian industry leader in the design and manufacture of premium polyurethane and rubber screen media products for the mining and mineral processing industries. Due to continued business growth, we are currently seeking reliable Manufacturing Technicians to join their Polymer Manufacturing team across both Day and Night Shift.
About the Role
Working within the Polymer Manufacturing Department, you will be involved throughout various stages of the manufacturing process from preparing raw materials through to moulding, finishing and quality inspection of completed products. This is a hands on manufacturing position suited to candidates who enjoy physical work, operating machinery and working within a structured production environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare raw materials for production processes
• Feed materials into mould heating ovens
• Operate and monitor press machinery
• Assist with mould setups and product changeovers
• Deflash and trim finished rubber and polyurethane products
• Sand, buff and finish moulded products to required quality standards
• Conduct visual quality inspections and identify product defects
• Perform cleaning, post processing and finishing duties
• Safely use hand tools and power tools
• Complete manual handling tasks throughout production
Skills & Experience
• Previous experience working within a manufacturing or production environment
• Experience operating machinery within a factory environment
• Plastics, rubber or polyurethane manufacturing experience is advantageous
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Comfortable working around industrial ovens and warm production environments
• Physically fit with the ability to undertake repetitive manual handling
• Strong reliability, punctuality and attendance record
