An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Financial Accountant to join a well-established multi-entity retail organisation on a 3-month contract. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role supporting month-end reporting, balance sheet integrity, process improvements, and audit requirements during a busy period.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role supporting month-end reporting, balance sheet integrity, process improvements, and audit requirements during a busy period.
The Role
This 3–month contract with the possibility to extend will be suitable for an immediately available or soon to be immediately available Financial Accountant.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Oversee daily payment and banking activities, ensuring accurate processing and reconciliation of transactions
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding items
- Assist with month-end close activities including journals, accruals, prepayments, and general ledger maintenance
- Support financial reporting requirements across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Maintain fixed asset registers, including additions, disposals, and depreciation calculations
- Assist with lease accounting and lease management obligations
- Perform intercompany reconciliations and resolve variances across group entities
- Support accounts receivable and accounts payable reconciliation processes where required
- Investigate and resolve variances across key balance sheet accounts
- Respond to and coordinate large volumes of audit requests and supporting documentation
- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities within finance operations
- Support ad hoc financial reporting and analysis as required
About You
Skills and Experience:
- CA/CPA qualified
- Strong Financial Accounting experience within a medium to large organisation
- Multi-entity accounting experience is essential
- High-level reconciliation and analytical skills
- Strong understanding of month-end close processes and financial controls
- Experience with fixed assets, leases, and general ledger accounting
- Ability to work autonomously and manage competing deadlines
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
