Finance System & Data Analyst

A For Purpose business are looking for a Finance System and Data Analyst to join the team as they embark on a Finance Transformation project.

This is a pivotal role, helping upgrade and replace the planning tool and related systems, to deliver best-in-class business planning and reporting solutions that align with strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be an integral part of the Planning Tool Replacement Project, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement financial and non-financial data infrastructure.
• Develop and configure business modules for expense, revenue, and workforce planning within the new planning tool, ensuring alignment with overall project goals.
• Act as the primary point of contact for inquiries and issues related to the new planning system, resolving issues in collaboration with the IT team.
• Lead in creating and delivering training materials, driving the adoption of the new system across the organisation.
• Support and drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, and empowerment.

What We're Looking For:

• Strong experience in data analysis and financial planning tools (FP&A) with solid financial modeling and data visualisation skills.
• Expertise in business requirements, system selection, and solution design.
• Advanced Excel skills (including VBA, Macro, Power Query) and intermediate SQL skills.
• Proven ability to work in agile environments, with a track record of effective time management and self-leadership.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Desirable Experience:

• Experience working in large, complex organisations with a global footprint.
• Familiarity with Board Enterprise Planning Platform or similar systems.
• Experience in the Not-for-Profit sector.

Qualifications:

• Tertiary degree in Finance, Technology, or equivalent experience.
• Advanced Excel skills, with a working knowledge of SQL
