Assistant Accountant

A fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Junior Accountant to join a stable, purpose‑driven organisation in a broad and varied role. Perfect for someone progressing through (or planning to commence) CPA/CA studies who enjoys ownership, reconciliations, and working across multiple revenue streams and systems.

You’ll join a supportive finance team and gain exposure across revenue, payroll, month‑end, financial reporting, budgeting/forecasting and process improvement - with strong mentoring from experienced leaders.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the revenue and sales ledger across several internal systems and payment platforms
• Daily transaction processing and reconciliations across Xero, CRM and multiple sales systems
• Monitor data feeds revenue platforms to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Prepare internal invoices and assist with tenant rent & utilities
• Perform daily and month‑end reconciliations and support AASB 15 revenue recognition
• Assist with payroll for approx. 40+ staff
• Gain exposure to fixed assets, investments, balance sheet reconciliations, budgeting & forecasting
• Support finance transformation initiatives including reporting improvements, budgeting tool enhancement and opportunities for digital/AI‑driven process uplift

About You

• 1–3 years’ experience in accounting
• Strong reconciliation capability and attention to detail
• Comfortable working across multiple systems and data sources
• Studying or intending to commence CPA/CA
• Experience in NFPs, membership bodies, SaaS/subscription revenue or education/RTO environments is advantageous
