We're working with a number of clients across mining, resources, energy and infrastructure in WA who are hiring Procurement Officers. Roles come up on both a permanent and contract basis.

About the Role

You'll sit within the supply chain team and look after the day-to-day buying activity for site and project operations.

Typical duties include:

• Raising and managing purchase orders end to end
• Sourcing quotes and comparing suppliers on price, lead time and availability
• Working with site and maintenance teams to understand what they need and when
• Following up suppliers on deliveries and sorting out issues when things run late
• Keeping supplier and pricing data accurate in the system
• Supporting the wider team with contract renewals and preferred supplier agreements
• Making sure buying activity follows company procedures and delegation limits

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a procurement, purchasing or buying role
• Background in mining, resources, construction, energy or a related industrial sector
• Confident using an ERP system. Pronto, SAP, Ellipse, JDE or similar
• Good with Excel and comfortable working through data
• Strong communicator who can chase things up without annoying people
• Organised and able to juggle a lot of open orders at once
• Full working rights in Australia
