Enterprise Portfolio & Planning Manager

Enterprise Portfolio & Planning Manager | Permanent | Auckland

We're partnering with a large complex organisation undergoing a significant transformation. We are on the hunt for two experienced Portfolio Managers, who will help create greater visibility and confidence across enterprise priorities, plans, dependencies and delivery constraints, enabling leaders to make informed decisions about what can realistically be delivered, when, and in what sequence. 

About the roles
Working across business, technology and delivery, you'll operate at an enterprise level, bringing together complex information and turning it into clear, decision-ready insights. 

Whether you focus on Integrated enterprise planning, portfolio sequencing and scenario planning, or enterprise interdependencies, capacity, capability and delivery feasibility.  You'll be involved in: 

• Building an enterprise-wide view of portfolio priorities, activity, dependencies and constraints. 
• Identifying and assessing cross-functional dependencies across business, technology, architecture, vendors and delivery
• Understanding capacity and capability constraints across delivery resources, business SMEs, technology platforms and specialist/vendor capability. Surfacing competing priorities, constraints and delivery risks early.
• Developing integrated plans, roadmaps, sequencing options and trade-off scenarios. Identifying where activity may need to proceed, pause, be re-sequenced, deferred or escalated.
• Assessing whether planned activity is realistically deliverable based on available capacity, capability and dependencies
• Providing evidence-based recommendations and insights into governance and leadership decision-making. 

About you
You’ll bring experience working within a large, complex portfolio, transformation, EPMO/PMO or enterprise planning environment.

We’re particularly interested in people with experience across some combination of:

• Enterprise portfolio or integrated planning
• Portfolio sequencing, roadmaps and scenario planning
• Dependency and constraint management
• Capacity and capability planning
• Delivery feasibility and risk assessment
• Portfolio governance and executive decision support
• Complex transformation environments

You’ll be comfortable working with incomplete or competing information, applying strong analytical judgement and translating complexity into practical recommendations. You are an effective communicator who can influence across business and technology teams without relying on formal authority.
