The Company
My client is an emerging Melbourne architectural builder specialising in high-end extensions and renovations across some of Melbourne's most affluent suburbs. The business has built a strong reputation for delivering highly detailed, architecturally designed projects, with construction values generally ranging between $1M and $3M.

Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Site Manager / Site Supervisor to join the team.

The Role:
This is a pure Site Management position, suited to someone who knows the architectural renovation and extension space inside out. You will take ownership of the day-to-day site management across a small number of projects (3-4 jobs), ensuring trades, programme, quality and site presentation are all maintained to a high standard.

The Project Manager will provide complete support from the office, allowing you to focus on what you do best — running the site and delivering the build.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing day-to-day site operations across multiple projects
• Coordinating and managing subcontractors and trades
• Programming trades and ensuring works remain on schedule
• Managing site quality, presentation and workmanship
• Reading and interpreting architectural drawings
• Coordinating deliveries, materials and site logistics
• Identifying and resolving site issues as they arise
• Working closely with the PM to ensure smooth project delivery
• Maintaining strong relationships with clients, architects and trades

About You:
We're looking for someone with genuine architectural renovation and extension experience. You will ideally have:

• Proven experience as a Site Manager within high-end residential construction
• Strong experience delivering architectural extensions & renovations
• Experience managing projects in the $1M–$3M range
• A strong understanding of sequencing, trades and the complexities of working within existing homes
• Excellent subcontractor management skills and an established trade network
• Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work
• The ability to confidently manage multiple sites
• A trade background, ideally carpentry
• Strong communication skills with clients, architects and subcontractors

This could also suit an experienced builder who has stepped away from running their own business and is looking to return to a hands-on site-focused role, without the administration and commercial pressures that come with running a building company.
