Job Overview:

The Associate Product Manager will support and increasingly own the development and execution of growth strategies for the Positive Displacement Blower portfolio, with a strong emphasis on blower packages, packaged systems, and configured solutions. This role serves as a key member of the Product Management team and is designed as a development path toward full Product Manager responsibility, including ownership of package strategy, commercial performance, product requirements, lifecycle decisions, and cross-functional execution. The position will focus on pricing strategy, market share growth, competitive positioning, new product development, and product portfolio optimization while partnering closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and Finance.

Responsibilities:

  • Own product strategy and portfolio performance by supporting strategic plans, roadmaps, lifecycle management, revenue growth, profitability, and market share objectives.
  • Serve as the product owner for assigned blower packages, managing product families, configurations, options, accessories, requirements, documentation, positioning, and differentiation.
  • Drive pricing and profitability improvements through pricing analysis, margin management, discount/concession reviews, competitive benchmarking, and collaboration with Sales and Finance.
  • Strengthen market and competitive positioning by tracking market share, customer needs, industry trends, competitor products/pricing, and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Support new product development and innovation from concept through commercialization, including business cases, customer research, requirements, launch readiness, sales enablement, and post-launch performance.
  • Enable commercial excellence by partnering with Sales, supporting customer visits and voice-of-customer activities, developing value propositions and sales tools, and providing product and competitive training.
  • Use business analytics to guide decisions by monitoring bookings, revenue, profitability, win rates, market share, forecasts, and product performance through dashboards and management reporting.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives and continuous improvement across Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, and Sales, including cost reduction, value engineering, productivity, and customer-experience improvements.

Requirements: 

  • 3+ years of experience in product management, engineering, commercial operations, manufacturing, product marketing, or business analysis.

Preferences:  

  • MBA or business coursework preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen.
  • Experience working with business data, pricing analysis, and profitability metrics.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint capabilities.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to synthesize technical and commercial information into actionable business recommendations.
  • Experience in industrial equipment, blower packages, compressors, rotating equipment, packaged systems, or capital equipment markets.
  • Familiarity with ERP, CRM, and business intelligence tools.
  • Exposure to pricing strategy, portfolio management, or market analysis.

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements 

  • Remote with occasional travel to Quincy, IL for training and customer visits. 

Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is $86,000-$108,000, excluding incentive opportunities. The pay range takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and geographic location.  Hired applicant will be eligible to receive (discretionary/nondiscretionary) annual bonuses and incentive compensation.
