Banking & Finance Associate

About the Opportunity
A leading international law firm is seeking a Banking & Finance Associate to join its highly regarded Banking & Finance practice in Singapore.

This is an exceptional opportunity to work on high-profile domestic and cross-border finance transactions for a client base spanning financial institutions, development banks, alternative financiers, and corporates across Asia. The practice advises on the full spectrum of structured lending work, including structured trade and commodities finance, telecoms finance, acquisition finance, cross-border real estate finance, and secondary market trading.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Support partners on complex, cross-border financing transactions, acting for lenders, borrowers, and financial institutions.
• Draft, negotiate, and review key transaction documents, including loan agreements, security documentation, and related ancillary agreements.
• Assist on structured trade and commodities financing, including receivables financing, payables finance, reserve-based lending, and asset-based lending.
• Support financings across complex jurisdictions in the region, including emerging markets.
• Conduct due diligence and coordinate with local and overseas counsel across multiple jurisdictions.
• Liaise directly with clients, including banks, development finance institutions, and corporates.

 
Candidate Requirements

• Familiar with, and comfortable working with, loan and security documents.
• Strong technical and drafting skills.
• Commercially minded and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Proactive, dedicated, and willing to take ownership of work.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
