• Salary: £31,000 Base + £2,000 London Cost of Living Allowance
• Total Starting Package: £33,000 + Company Car or Generous Car Allowance
• Location: Hybrid & Flexible (Mix of Home, London-area depots, and regional travel)

We are delighted to be partnering with a leading name in the logistics sector to recruit a brand-new Regional Driver Assessor to cover their expanding South of England network. Joining a highly collaborative national team of transport trainers and regional assessors, you will become the vital link ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and competence of around 120 drivers across four key local sites.

If you have a solid transport background but lack formal training qualifications—our client will invest in you. They provide full training, professional development, and industry-recognised qualifications to help you become an elite Driver Assessor.

Your Daily Impact

As the Regional Driver Assessor, you won’t just be ticking boxes; you will be coaching, mentoring, and safeguarding the driving team through:

• Practical Assessments: Conducting vital pre-employment, post-accident, and annual refresher driving assessments to keep the fleet safe.
• Driver Wellbeing & Psychosocial Evaluation: Looking beyond just mechanical skills—assessing driver decision-making, mindset, and overall mental wellbeing on the road.
• Coaching & Feedback: Delivering constructive, clear feedback to drivers and line managers, partnering with regional transport trainers to plug skills gaps.
• Robust Reporting: Utilising Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) to maintain crystal-clear assessment data and coordinate schedules with depot stakeholders.

Who Are We Looking For?

On behalf of our client, we are looking for an analytical, supportive, and organised individual who possesses:

• The Right License: A Class 1 (C+E) license is highly preferred, but we are absolutely open to speaking with exceptional Class 2 (C) license holders looking to step up.
• A Solid Transport Grounding: Experience assessing commercial drivers, a background in transport compliance, or extensive commercial driving experience (including bus/coach operation).
• A Natural Coach: A genuine passion for mentoring, integrity in your standards, and the ability to deliver clear, encouraging feedback.
• Digital Literacy: Comfort using standard Microsoft packages to manage your workload and report outcomes.
