Web Application Engineer (Kotlin/Java/Web API: 8274)

A Global IT Service firm is seeking an experienced Web Application Engineer to join the Membership Platform Department (MPD).
You will work with a global team of engineers to build and support highly scalable platforms and Web APIs that serve hundreds of millions of users worldwide.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain membership systems and related Web APIs
- Support in implementing and maintaining membership platform services
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile development environment
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of platform scalability, reliability, and performance
- Work with technologies such as Vert.x, Kotlin, OpenCensus, and ELK Stack

Required skills:
- Proven experience as a Kotlin Developer with a focus on web API development
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin programming language and a solid understanding of Java
- Experience with frameworks such as Vert.x for building scalable APIs
- Familiarity with RESTful API design principles and best practices
- Understanding of database systems, both relational (MariaDB) and NoSQL (Cassandra)
- Proficient in version control systems, preferably Git
- Ability to work collaboratively in an agile development environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team

Working hours: 9:00 - 17:30 (Mon-Fri)
