About the Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Graphic Designer APS5 to deliver high quality print and digital communication products supporting organisational communication objectives.

This role sits within a busy communications environment where you will create visually engaging and accessible design solutions across a range of publications and stakeholder materials.

You will work across multiple projects simultaneously, collaborating with communication officers, subject matter experts, and external suppliers to deliver professional, on-brand outcomes under tight deadlines.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and produce high quality print and digital communication materials including publications, brochures, posters, newsletters, infographics and digital assets
  • Develop creative concepts and translate complex information into clear, engaging visual communications
  • Prepare print ready artwork and manage end-to-end production processes
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery
  • Ensure all outputs meet accessibility standards, branding guidelines, and quality expectations
  • Support print production workflows and procurement processes as required
  • Maintain consistency of visual identity across all communication products
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary communications team

About You

You are a detail focused and creative designer who thrives in a structured but fast paced environment.

You will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in graphic design for print and digital media
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop essential)
  • Strong understanding of print production processes and pre press requirements
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high quality work to tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards in design (digital and print)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interpret briefs and stakeholder needs
  • A collaborative and professional approach to teamwork
  • Understanding of branding systems and visual identity application

Mandatory Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Graphic Design (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 2 years professional experience in graphic design, preferably in publications or multi page document design
  • Australian Citizenship (required for APS employment)
  • Must have Baseline AGSVA security clearance
