The Role
Depending on experience and practice area, successful candidates will work across a broad range of contentious and advisory matters involving insurers, corporates, professionals, contractors and other key stakeholders.
- Manage and progress a diverse caseload within Construction, Professional Indemnity or Financial Lines
- Advise clients on complex disputes, liability issues, coverage matters and risk management strategies
- Draft high quality legal correspondence, pleadings, submissions and advice
- Conduct negotiations, mediations and settlement discussions
- Liaise directly with clients, counsel, experts and key stakeholders
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships
- Support business development initiatives and contribute to team growth
- Mentor junior lawyers where appropriate to seniority level
The Candidate
Applications are encouraged from lawyers with a minimum of 3 years PQE through to Special Counsel level.
About You
- At least 3 years PQE within Construction, Professional Indemnity, Financial Lines or a closely related practice area
- Strong technical legal skills and attention to detail
- Experience managing files with increasing levels of autonomy
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Commercially focused approach to client service
- Strong organisational and time management capabilities
- A collaborative and proactive mindset
