Site Engineer

This role will be based on Christchurch and is your chance to be involved in the tallest build post-earthquake and what will become a landmark building for the city.  The project is a circa $90m design & build and a significant opportunity for someone to gain experience across the full spectrum of vertical construction, working directly for a main contractor/developer.
 
You will primarily be responsible for vertical setting out, specifically using total station, managing quality assurance, interpreting structural drawings, and ensuring subcontractors follow project specifications. You will be required to sign off on all pre / post work (Foundations, precast, structural steel, suspended slabs) including reinforcing checks and certifications before Structural Engineers come to site for final inspections. The role will be 100% site based during construction.
 
You will have / be:

• Minimum 3 - 5yrs Site engineer experience on site - preferably in NZ
• Must have vertical build experience and in particular structural build experience
• Must have site set out experience including vertical set out.
• Used total station to set out
• Greenstar experience or knowledge would be a plus.
• Full NZ work visa - Full English competency both written & verbal is a must.
• Minimum qualification Degree in Engineering or Diploma.
• Must be competent reading and interpreting construction drawings.
• Experience with temporary works (propping, formwork, falsework etc)
