Location: Port Stephens Region, NSW
Contract: Temporary Contract – Approx. 5 Month
Pay Rate: $68.96 per hour

Key Responsibilities
- Provide timely and professional HR advice to leaders and employees on policies, procedures, employment conditions, and people-related matters.
- Support the management and continuous improvement of the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
- Generate, analyse, and maintain workforce data, reporting, dashboards, and HR metrics to support business decision-making.
- Assist with the interpretation and application of Enterprise Agreements, Awards, employment legislation, and workplace policies.
- Support HR Business Partners with performance management, investigations, employee relations matters, and organisational initiatives.
- Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and enhance employee lifecycle processes.
- Collaborate with Payroll to manage employee movements and employment changes.
- Contribute to the delivery of people and culture projects, programs, and initiatives.
- Support recruitment activities and work closely with the Talent Acquisition team as required.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management or a related discipline.
- Experience working in a Human Resources Advisor or Generalist HR role.
- Strong HRIS experience, including workforce reporting and data management.
- Experience interpreting employment legislation, policies, Enterprise Agreements, and Awards.
- Ability to analyse complex workforce data and present meaningful insights.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity.
Highly Regarded
- Experience within local government or a complex multi-disciplinary organisation.
- Exposure to organisational development or people and culture initiatives.
- Experience developing HR reports, dashboards, and workforce analytics.
