Interior/ Fit-out Site Manager

Immediate Start | Fixed Term to July 2027 | Potential Extension

Enterprise is recruiting on behalf of our client, looking for an experienced Interior / Fit-Out Site Manager to take ownership of a commercial fit-out project in the Hawkes Bay.

This is a great opportunity for a trade-qualified professional who enjoys leading from the front, coordinating multiple trades, and delivering high-quality interior construction projects.

Working closely with the Project Management team, you'll be responsible for ensuring site operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently while maintaining the high standards that the company is known for.
 
About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership role that combines subcontractor management, programme coordination and service management, as well as jumping on the tools when required. You'll be the key point of contact on site, ensuring all work is completed safely, on schedule, and to specification.
 
We're looking for someone who can confidently manage site activities while also rolling up their sleeves and assisting when required.
 
Working Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 7:00am - 5:00pm
• Friday: 7:00am - 4:00pm

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate services trades, finishing trades, and specialist subcontractors
• Drive project delivery in line with programme milestones and quality expectations
• Monitor site safety and ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements
• Oversee site logistics, deliveries, access requirements, and workflow coordination
• Review drawings, specifications, and project documentation to ensure works are completed correctly
• Maintain strong communication with Project Managers, suppliers, and subcontractors
• Manage defects, quality inspections, and final finishing works
• Keep accurate site records and assist with project reporting requirements
• Maintain a clean, organised, and professional work environment
• Provide hands-on support and jump on the tools when required to keep work progressing

About You
To be successful in this position, you'll bring:

• A recognised trade qualification as a Qualified Builder
• Proven experience managing commercial interior fit-out projects
• Strong references from previous projects and employers
• Confidence managing multiple subcontractors and coordinating site activities
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and direct teams
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving
• Sound knowledge of health and safety requirements and best practice
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• A willingness to be hands-on and lead by example when required

The ideal candidate will be someone who takes pride in delivering quality work, builds positive on-site relationships, and can effectively balance safety, programme, and quality requirements.
You'll be a strong communicator with the ability to work in with a productive site culture while ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standard.
