The Opportunity
We are working with a highly regarded Melbourne construction business that is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of a significant $45M-$50M aged care and retirement living project.
The project forms part of a Retirement Village, aged care and retirement development
This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager with genuine aged care / retirement living experience who enjoys being hands-on, working closely with clients and consultants, and taking ownership of project delivery from the front.

The Role
As Project Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the project, working closely with the Construction Manager, Site Team, consultants, subcontractors and client representatives.

You will be responsible for:

• Leading the project from pre-construction through to completion
• Managing the project team and coordinating site operations
• Maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships
• Managing project programme, budget, quality and commercial outcomes
• Overseeing procurement and subcontractor engagement
• Managing design coordination and resolving construction issues
• Reviewing project documentation, drawings and specifications
• Managing variations, RFIs, EOTs and contractual matters
• Monitoring project costs, forecasting and financial performance
• Driving quality assurance and ensuring project standards are maintained
• Working closely with the Site Manager and Contracts Administration team
• Managing project risks and proactively resolving issues
• Maintaining strong communication across all project stakeholders
• Supporting the successful handover and completion of the project

About You

We are specifically looking for a Project Manager with genuine aged care, retirement living or highly relevant healthcare construction experience.
You will ideally have:

• Proven experience delivering $30M+ aged care, retirement living or healthcare projects
• Strong understanding of construction methodology and project delivery
• Experience managing complex stakeholder environments
• Strong client-facing and communication skills
• Excellent commercial and financial management capability
• Strong leadership and subcontractor management skills
• A hands-on approach to project delivery
• The ability to work collaboratively with both site and office teams
• Strong attention to quality and detail
• A personable, approachable and team-oriented personality
