Estimator

Design & Build Recruitment is currently searching for a skilled and commercially minded Estimator to join a well-established business based in Yatala.

This is a highly collaborative, office-based role suited to an estimator who enjoys working closely with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients throughout the full project lifecycle.

Working within a strong estimating and delivery team, you will play a key role in preparing accurate project costings, managing tender processes, engaging with subcontractors, and supporting successful project outcomes across a range of construction projects.

The Role
Reporting to the Estimating Lead, responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing and interpreting tender documentation, drawings, and specifications
• Preparing accurate project cost estimates and bills of quantities
• Preparing RFQs and scopes of work for subcontractors and suppliers
• Liaising with internal design, manufacturing, sales, and project teams
• Managing ongoing communication with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Assessing project risks, opportunities, and cost implications

About You
To be successful, you will ideally possess:

• 3+ years’ experience in an Estimator position within construction, or modular construction
• Strong understanding of building methodologies and project sequencing
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
• Experience using estimating software such as CostX or similar
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
