Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on heavy mobile equipment.
- Complete component change-outs in accordance with OEM and site requirements.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults.
- Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation to support maintenance activities.
- Accurately complete maintenance reports, work orders, and equipment history records using SAP.
- Work collaboratively with planners, supervisors, and operations personnel to maximise fleet availability and reliability.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment at all times.
- Comply with all site safety, environmental, and operational standards and follow Safe Work Procedures and policies
Experience maintaining and repairing one or more of the following equipment types will be highly regarded:
- Komatsu 830E Electric Drive Haul Trucks
- LeTourneau L-2350/Komatsu WE2350 Wheel Loaders
- Komatsu WA1200 Wheel Loaders
- Caterpillar 777 & 785 Water Carts
- Caterpillar 16M & 24M Graders
- Ancillary mining and support equipment
To be successful in this role, candidates will possess:
Essential Requirements
- Australian Recognised Heavy Duty Diesel or Plant Mechanic Trade Qualification.
- Proven experience within mining, civil, earthmoving, or heavy industrial environments – minimum 2 years
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and fault-finding capability.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and compliance with workplace procedures.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a high-performing team.
- High Risk Work Licences- Forklift, Dogging and/or Rigging.
- Current Manual C-Class Driver's Licence.
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.
- Previous experience working on autonomous mining equipment.
- Air Conditioning (ARC) Licence.
- Working at Heights Training
- SAP maintenance management system experience.
