About the Role
This is a hands-on electrical design role, and a genuine opportunity to grow into ownership of the LV electrical function. You'll design, integrate and troubleshoot low voltage electrical systems for heavy mobile equipment - wiring schematics, hydraulic control integration, CAN bus, cameras, sensors and telematics - working directly with mechanical engineers, manufacturing and service teams to keep vehicles performing and compliant.
No two days are the same, and the technical variety is genuine. As the team and business grow, so does the scope to build your own function - and a real pathway toward a senior or lead engineering role for the right person.

You'll design, integrate and troubleshoot low voltage electrical systems for heavy mobile equipment - wiring schematics, hydraulic control integration, CAN bus, cameras, sensors and telematics - working directly with mechanical engineers, manufacturing and service teams to keep vehicles performing and compliant.

What You'll Be Doing
- Design, maintain and improve low voltage electrical systems for heavy mobile equipment platforms
- Integrate and troubleshoot LV components, hydraulic control systems, actuators, cameras, sensors and control panels
- Diagnose electrical faults and perform root cause analysis to reduce fault recurrence
- Develop and maintain wiring diagrams, schematics and technical documentation to AS/NZS and ADR standards
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers, manufacturing and service teams to optimise vehicle performance nationally
- Help shape engineering standards and process as the function grows - genuine input, not just execution
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience in LV mobile/vehicle systems
- Practical LV electrical design experience in automotive, heavy vehicle, agricultural machinery, mining equipment or rail
- CAN bus proficiency, with hands-on diagnostic and integration experience
- Experience with electrical control of hydraulic systems - design and troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of Australian Standards, ADRs, safety systems and isolation procedures
