Required Skills:
- Minimum of four years’ experience in Gen development, specialising in Cuba or similar systems
- Proven ability to write, debug, and optimise COBOL code
- Experience developing SOAP services, RESTful APIs and Message Queues
- Strong skills in Win32 application development
- Demonstrated ability to lead and advise on software design and implementation
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities with the capacity to handle highly complex ICT issues
Nice to Have Skills:
- Formal IT degree or specialised GEN training
- Experience with Cuba or equivalent systems
- Knowledge of enterprise service implementations and middleware solutions
- Background in system integration and legacy system modernisation
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related field
- Over four years’ direct experience in low-level and high-level software development, particularly within government or large enterprise environments
Other Requirements:
- Ability to obtain and maintain Baseline security clearance
- Willingness to work in a hybrid environment, initially onsite for six weeks, then flexible WFH arrangements with minimum three days in the office
