Mill Helper – Manufacturing

MILL HELPER - NEEDED IN YOUGSTOWN- DIRECT HIRE
Position Summary
Nesco Resource is seeking a dependable and motivated Mill Helper to join a manufacturing team. This position supports machine operators with daily production activities, material handling, equipment setup, and packaging of finished products.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist machine operators with equipment setup, operation, and teardown.

• Load and position steel coils onto payoff reels.

• Operate jib cranes to move materials safely.

• Set up and dismantle exit-end racking.

• Stack, band, wrap, and package finished products according to specifications.

• Assist with cleaning, painting, and maintaining production equipment.

• Perform basic quality checks using measuring tools.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

• Follow production instructions and safety procedures.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

• Previous manufacturing or industrial experience preferred.

• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

• Ability to read a tape measure, calipers, and micrometers.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.

• Dependable attendance, positive attitude, and ability to work as part of a team.
