This is a rare opportunity to join one of New Zealand’s most significant core banking replacement programmes at a critical stage of delivery.
We’re looking for an experienced Senior .NET Developer with hands‑on banking product delivery experience, ideally within lending, to help modernise and integrate a next‑generation core banking platform. You’ll work hands‑on in a complex, high‑pace environment where strong engineering, domain knowledge, and pragmatic problem‑solving really matter.

What you’ll be doing
  • Designing and building high‑quality .NET solutions supporting a modern core banking platform
  • Developing APIs, backend services, and integrations, with a strong focus on lending products
  • Collaborating across core, payments, channels, migration, and lending workstreams
  • Championing modern engineering practices including CI/CD, DevOps, automation, and infrastructure‑as‑code
  • Contributing to architectural decisions in a highly regulated banking environment
  • Troubleshooting complex integration and data challenges across legacy and modern systems
What we’re looking for
  • 7+ years’ experience as a .NET / C# developer in complex enterprise environments
  • Proven experience delivering banking products, specifically lending (home loans, personal lending, credit, or similar)
  • Strong experience with:
    • C# / .NET
    • API and integration design
    • SQL and data-heavy systems
    • Unit, integration, and non‑functional testing
    • CI/CD and DevOps practices
  • Experience working on core banking platforms or core system replacements
  • Exposure to AWS and highly available systems
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and large transformation programmes
Banking product delivery experience is essential – lending domain experience is highly preferred.
Contract details
