Location: Brighton, East Sussex – BN2
Rate: £25.00 per hour CIS
Working Hours: 7:30am – 6:00pm, with 10 hours paid
Duration: Friday 11th September – Monday 21st September 2026
Parking: Available on site

Barker Ross Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced NVQ Level 3 Carpenter for a temporary assignment on a construction site in Brighton.

The successful candidate will have proven experience working within a construction environment and will be confident undertaking carpentry, handyman and general site duties in line with approved drawings and site requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out blockwork breakout
• Installing V-mesh and timber hoarding in accordance with approved temporary works drawings
• Installing and maintaining hole protection
• Walkway management
• Carrying out general carpentry and handyman duties as required
• Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment

Essential Requirements:

• NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry or relevant Handyman qualification
• Valid Blue Skilled Worker CSCS card required
• Previous carpentry and handyman experience within a construction environment
• Ability to read and work from approved temporary works drawings
• Valid Right to Work in the UK
• Share code, where applicable
• Availability for the full duration of the assignment

Required PPE:

• Hi-vis vest
• Hard hat
• Safety boots
• Gloves
• Safety glasses

Additional Information:

• Parking is available on site
• Candidates are advised to check their travel arrangements to BN2 before applying
• Relevant qualifications and Right to Work documentation will be verified prior to placement
