EQUIP People is looking for a reliable Machine Operator to join a busy panel manufacturing operation in Hornby.
You'll be working alongside the production team, operating machinery used in the manufacture of specialist building panels. This is a hands-on position where you'll help keep production moving, monitor machine operation and ensure products are made accurately and to the required standard.
The role also involves some basic computer work and entering simple programme information. You don't need advanced computer skills, but you should be comfortable using a computer, following prompts and entering information.
Previous machine operating or manufacturing experience would be useful but the right attitude and willingness to learn are just as important.
What You'll Be Doing
- Operating machinery within the panel production process
- Working alongside the production and line-feeding team
- Entering basic programme information and machine settings
- Monitoring machine operation and production output
- Checking finished products for quality and accuracy
- Identifying and reporting production issues
- Keeping machinery and the surrounding work area tidy
- Following operating instructions and health and safety procedures
What We're Looking For
- Previous machine operating or manufacturing experience advantageous
- Comfortable using basic computer systems
- Able to follow instructions and work with simple programmes
- Good attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual and motivated
- Practical approach to problem-solving
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
- Reliable transport to Hornby
