The Connect Ambassador serves as the first point of contact for customers visiting the Connect Center and plays a key role in delivering a positive customer experience. This individual will welcome customers, assess their needs, answer basic questions, and direct them to self-service resources or specialists for additional assistance.
The role provides exposure to customer service operations, community engagement initiatives, and day-to-day business activities. The Ambassador will support facility operations, assist with special events, collaborate with internal teams, and help strengthen relationships with customers and community partners.
 
Key Responsibilities:

Customer Engagement & Support (Approximately 65%)

The Connect Ambassador is responsible for creating a welcoming environment for customers and ensuring their needs are addressed efficiently. Responsibilities include greeting customers, assessing service needs, answering basic inquiries, managing customer traffic flow within the facility, and assisting with payment transactions. The Ambassador will also work closely with specialists and facility staff to help resolve escalated customer concerns and support ongoing customer service initiatives.

Community Outreach & Event Support (Approximately 35%)

The Ambassador will assist with community outreach efforts by supporting the planning, setup, execution, and teardown of events and workshops. Additional responsibilities include assisting during extended outage situations, supporting customer and community education programs, helping with daily facility opening and closing procedures, and collecting customer feedback and event data to measure engagement effectiveness. The role also includes educating customers about energy efficiency programs and assisting with program enrollment when appropriate.
 
Required Skills & Qualifications:

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and customer-focused professional with strong communication and interpersonal skills. They should be outgoing, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The ability to exercise sound judgment, adapt to changing priorities, and collaborate effectively with team members is essential.
Candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and demonstrate a professional demeanor when interacting with customers, community members, and colleagues. Bilingual Spanish language skills are considered a plus.
 
Education & Experience:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Candidates should have at least one year of customer service experience, preferably in a face-to-face environment. Experience working in a fast-paced setting and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite are also required.
