Operations Manager – Technology Operations / $60-70k P/M

12 month contract (extendable)

We are partnering with a leading organisation seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee technology operations, production support, service reliability and operational delivery across a modern technology environment.

This role is primarily focused on technology operations and production stability, while also requiring good exposure to DevOps, cloud, automation and CI/CD environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day technology operations and production support activities
  • Manage application, infrastructure and operational support teams
  • Own incident, problem, change and service management processes
  • Ensure systems and applications meet agreed availability, performance and SLA requirements
  • Coordinate major incidents, production issues and operational escalations
  • Work closely with Engineering, DevOps, Cloud and Application Development teams
  • Support continuous improvement across monitoring, automation and operational processes
  • Oversee production releases, change controls and operational readiness
  • Help drive greater automation across deployment, infrastructure and support processes
  • Manage internal stakeholders, vendors and technology partners

Requirements

  • Strong experience within Technology Operations, Production Support, Infrastructure Operations or Application Support
  • Previous team leadership or operational management experience
  • Strong understanding of incident, problem, change and service management
  • Good understanding of modern DevOps practices and CI/CD environments
  • Exposure to cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure
  • Familiarity with technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitLab, Terraform or similar would be advantageous
  • Experience working within highly available, business-critical technology environments
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to balance operational stability with continuous improvement and automation
