Job Overview:
 

Play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service while managing customer orders from entry through fulfillment. In this fast-paced, customer-focused role, you will serve as a key liaison between customers, operations, and internal teams to ensure timely order processing, issue resolution, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities while building strong relationships with customers and business partners. Responsibilities:

  • Act as key liaison between assigned Channel Partners and operations to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Execute daily tasks and customer responses with a sense of ownership and urgency.
  • Manage customer expectations by clearly communicating our commitments (i.e. delivery dates or problem resolution), and keeping customers informed of status of orders, issues, etc.
  • Develop and cultivate effective relationships with key accounts/distribution partners.
  • Manage customer orders from placement to invoicing through multiple channels, including phone, fax, EDI, E-Mail, and websites to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.
  • Manage Sales Order bookings / backlog in relation to dates / holds / quotes and P.O. errors.
  • Provide high-quality service through efficient use of all Oracle/CRM functionalities related to order fulfillment and relative to customer activity.
  • Coordinate cancellation requests with supplier/customer in order to avoid any discrepancy / excess in inventory.
  • Provide support and training to distributors on order entry application.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and people without direct authority.
  • Identify improvements by using IR Lean tools and methodology through MDI, 9-steps, RIEs.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures of Ingersoll Rand.


Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • 2+ years' experience in customer facing role required.
  • Previous exposure to the Service Industry.

  • Cultivates strong, mutually beneficial customer relationships and works to earn the trust of the customer by ensuring that the company delivers value and acquires customer-driven insights to effectively address issues, needs and opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strategic relationships within various levels of customer’s organization.
  • Understands and communicates technical information. Writes and speaks clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles.
  • Practices attentive and active listening; has the patience to hear people out; can accurately restate the opinions of others even when he/she disagrees. 
  • Knowledgeable about how organizations work; knows how to get things done both through formal channels and the informal network; understands the origin and reasoning behind key policies, practices, and procedures; understands the cultures of organizations. 


Preferences:

  • Experience in or exposure to bookkeeping or other financial processes is preferred.
  • Understanding of operations and the supply demand flow is beneficial.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and experience with ERP.
  • Experience in Salesforce preferred.
