Custodian? Location: Forest Hills, MI Shift: 1st 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 2nd 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM Pay: $17.00 per hour Job Summary Are you a reliable and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? We're seeking a Custodian to join our team in Forest Hills, MI. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our operations, helping us to maintain clean, safe, and welcoming school facilities for students, staff, and visitors. What You'll Be Doing As a Custodian, your core responsibilities will include:? ? Facility Cleaning: Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and other areas to maintain a clean environment.? ? Waste Management: Empty trash bins, dispose of waste safely, and ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.? ? Support School Operations: Assist with minor maintenance tasks, set up and clean areas for school events, and perform periodic deep cleaning of carpets, windows, and specialized spaces.? In addition, you will also be expected to maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisors when stock is low. What We're Looking For To be successful in this role, you should have the following: Qualifications:? ? 1–2 years of previous custodial/cleaning experience? ? Knowledge of sanitation practices, procedures, and standards? ? Ability to lift up to 50 lbs periodically? ? Valid driver’s license or State ID? ? Must complete and pass a fingerprint livescan before starting Skills:? ? Attention to Detail: Ensures all areas are cleaned thoroughly and safely.? ? Organization: Maintains cleaning schedules and supply inventory efficiently.? ? Teamwork: Collaborates with staff and supervisors to support school operations.? ?
