We are looking for a Network Tech with a proven track record in the following:

  • Racking and stacking of network devices
  • Cable patching
  • Physical layer troubleshooting (Cicso)
  • Equipment disposal activities
  • Installing and troubleshooting Cisco and Avaya IP phones - physically installing in jacks, making sure phones are set up correctly, etc.


Position Details:

  • Hourly salary based upon the level of experience & skill-set
  • Long-term with possible extension(s) or temp to hire
  • Standard work hours: Mon-Fri 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (after hours & weekends as needed)
  • Type / Location: Mobile Worker: Atlanta, GA
  • MVR Check required
  • Candidates must have a valid Driver's License & a dependable vehicle
  • Travel Expectations: up to 3 hours radius of target location

Experience and Education:

  • High School / GED or equivalent required.
  • 2+years of experience in data communications
  • Must have a basic knowledge of Cisco Phones, switches, and routers
  • Must have a basic knowledge of local and wide area networking.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Requirements:

  • Must be proficient in utilizing technical low voltage testing tools for CAT5/CAT6
  • Requires experience in working in communications closets
    • Must be able to perform rack and stack activities
      • Must be able to safely lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs)
    • Must understand cable patching processes and procedures
    • Some sites will require knowledge of 66 Block and 110 Block cross-connect procedures
    • Must have a basic knowledge of data communications networking.
      • Must be able to assist in troubleshooting issues &understand network terminology
  • Must be familiar with IP phone
    • Must be able to physically install Cisco & Avaya phones - physically run a cable to jacks, etc.
  • Requires good interpersonal communications skills
    • Must be able to explain technical issues in a way the customer will understand an issue
    • Must be able to interpret a customer's issue in a way that will allow the technician to facilitate a resolution
