Finance Transformation Lead - Payments

We’re looking for an experienced Payments & Financial Operations Consultant to help establish the financial operating model for an exciting new consumer-facing digital product.

This is not a traditional accounting role. You’ll be designing and implementing the financial operations capability required to support a high-volume, transaction-based consumer business. Covering payments, settlement, reconciliation, banking, controls, auditability and ERP integration.

• Designing end-to-end payment, settlement and money flows
• Establishing automated reconciliation processes and exception management
• Defining banking, receivables, clearing accounts and cash management processes
• Building financial controls, SOPs and audit-ready processes
• Translating payment flows into D365FO finance requirements
• Working across Finance, Product, Technology and Operations
• Establishing the operating model and transitioning it into BAU Finance

You’ll ideally have experience designing and implementing financial operations within payments, fintech, banking, merchant acquiring, e-commerce, BNPL or another high-volume transaction environment.

You’ll understand how money moves through a consumer payments ecosystem and have hands-on experience with settlement, reconciliation, banking integration, financial controls and exception management. Experience with D365FO or a similar ERP finance transformation would be highly advantageous.

You’ll be comfortable stepping into an evolving environment, working through ambiguity and turning complex payment flows into practical, scalable processes and controls.
