Hours: 8:30am–5:30pm daily
Rate: €16.00 per hour
Contract: Temporary – 3 days
FRS Recruitment is currently seeking confident and enthusiastic Sales Assistants to join our client, a leading garden and home retailer, at the National Ploughing Championships in Tullamore from 15th to 17th September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced retail and sales professionals who enjoy working with customers and are confident in actively promoting and selling products in a busy event environment.
About the Role
You will be representing our client at their exhibition stand, showcasing and selling their range of garden furniture and outdoor living products to customers attending the Ploughing Championships.
This is a sales-focused role, so we are looking for people who are comfortable approaching customers, understanding their needs, recommending products and confidently helping to close sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Engaging proactively with customers visiting the stand
- Promoting and selling garden furniture and outdoor living products
- Understanding customer requirements and recommending suitable products
- Answering product questions and providing excellent customer service
- Supporting customers through the sales process
- Helping to maintain a professional, clean and welcoming exhibition area
- Learning the product range quickly and confidently communicating key features and benefits
- Working as part of a friendly and professional sales team
What We're Looking For
Ideally, you will have:
- Previous sales or retail experience
- Excellent customer-facing and communication skills
- Confidence approaching and engaging with customers
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to sales
- The ability to actively sell and help close sales
- A friendly, professional and presentable manner
- Strong reliability and punctuality
- The ability to learn product information quickly
Experience selling furniture, homeware, garden products, outdoor living products or other higher-value items would be an advantage, but is not essential
