Test Lead - NV1 Clearance Required
Location: Melbourne
Work Type: Hybrid (3 days in the office, 2 days from home)
Contract: Initial contract until 28 June 2027 with likely extensions
Requirements: Australian Citizenship and NV1 Security Clearance are mandatory.

We are seeking an experienced Test Lead to lead and coordinate end-to-end testing activities across complex technology projects. You will be responsible for developing test strategies, managing testing across multiple phases, ensuring quality standards are met, and working closely with stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage testing activities across projects or workstreams.
  • Develop and implement test strategies, plans, and approaches.
  • Coordinate functional, integration, system, and UAT testing.
  • Manage test schedules, environments, test data, and dependencies.
  • Review and approve test cases, scripts, and test evidence.
  • Oversee defect management, triage, and resolution.
  • Report testing progress, quality metrics, and project risks.
  • Ensure compliance with governance and quality standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement in testing practices and automation.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years' experience in software testing, including experience as a Test Lead or Lead Tester.
  • Strong background in functional, integration, and system testing.
  • Experience developing test strategies and managing end-to-end test delivery.
  • Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar.
  • Experience working in Agile and hybrid delivery environments.
  • Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and quality assurance best practices.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
