Overview

Client is seeking a MultiCloud Administrator focused on critical facilities and electrical infrastructure for computer rooms at manufacturing locations. This role will lead power-capacity planning, UPS and battery strategy, rack and room design, facilities readiness, and StruxureWare DCIM platform management.

Core Responsibilities

  • Own current and future IT power-demand planning, including kW per rack, amperage, electrical phases, peak-load assumptions, A/B feeds, redundancy paths, and growth buffers.
  • Document power-source paths, redundancy requirements, dual-feed configurations, generator transfers, and room-feeding approaches.
  • Coordinate with plant electrical and facilities teams regarding electrical capacity, panels, circuits, breakers, and phased expansions.
  • Define UPS strategies, capacity requirements, runtime targets, monitoring standards, inspection schedules, testing plans, and replacement strategies.
  • Troubleshoot UPS and battery systems and develop improvement plans for utilization or capacity risks.
  • Create and maintain rack elevations, as-built room layouts, cable paths, and capacity models.
  • Validate rack power, thermal, weight, access, and future-growth requirements.
  • Maintain accurate CAD-style drawings as computer-room environments evolve.
  • Identify and remove physical constraints affecting infrastructure modernization and dual-room resiliency.
  • Develop remediation plans for insufficient UPS capacity, rack-space limitations, and inadequate redundant connections.
  • Serve as the facilities escalation point for computer-room power incidents.
  • Participate in root-cause analysis and remediation planning following electrical failures.
  • Establish and maintain standard operating procedures and methods of procedure for power work, UPS maintenance, rack changes, and room upgrades.
  • Provide quality oversight for contractors working on computer rooms and critical electrical systems.
  • Manage vendors supporting UPS, battery, monitoring, and electrical infrastructure.
  • Coordinate quotes, statements of work, upgrade schedules, and site power-capacity expansions.
  • Collaborate with plant maintenance teams on generator and transfer-system readiness and testing.
  • Manage the StruxureWare DCIM platform.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least five years of experience supporting critical facilities, electrical infrastructure, data centers, or computer-room environments.
  • Hands-on experience with UPS systems, battery technologies, and electrical distribution.
  • Experience troubleshooting critical electrical infrastructure using established operational-safety procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining rack elevations and physical layouts.
  • Ability to validate rack power, thermal, weight, access, and growth requirements.
  • Experience with generators, automatic transfer switches, static transfer switches, and mission-critical electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of data-center tiering concepts and reliability-oriented design.
  • Experience coordinating critical infrastructure activities with facilities teams, vendors, and contractors.

Preferred Skills or Experience

  • Experience supporting industrial or manufacturing facilities.
  • StruxureWare or comparable data-center infrastructure management platform experience.
  • Experience supporting dual-room resiliency or critical-facilities modernization programs.
