Contract Systems Specialist (Oracle)

Location: Onsite – Houston, TX

Duration: 12-month contract

Pay Range: $90–100/hr

We are seeking a Contract Systems Specialist (Oracle) to join our eBusiness Systems team supporting Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2.15. This role calls for strong technical expertise in Oracle APEX, Java, OAF, PL/SQL, SQL, and Workflow development, along with experience supporting Oracle Enterprise Asset Management (EAM). The successful candidate will work with minimal supervision, providing both technical and functional support for Oracle EAM and related business applications. You will play a key role in application development, system administration, troubleshooting, change management, and continuous improvement, and will support integrations between Oracle EAM, dataPARC, and the GE Vernova Asset Performance Management (APM) SaaS platform. The role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, technical teams, Oracle Support, and external vendors to deliver high-quality service.




Job Responsibilities:

In this role, you will manage and support a variety of projects within the eBusiness Systems department. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing development, administration, and production support for Oracle EAM
  • Supporting Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2.15 applications and related business systems
  • Partnering with business users, technical teams, Oracle Support, and vendors to deliver reliable, customer-focused solutions

Essential Job Duties and Job Functions:

  • Provide technical development, administration, and production support for Oracle EAM
  • Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain custom Oracle applications and enhancements
  • Support and provide backup coverage for Oracle EAM and GE Vernova APM integrations
  • Troubleshoot complex application and interface issues, working with Oracle Support and GE Vernova
  • Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Ensure compliance with change management processes and SOX controls
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2.15 (preferred)
  • Oracle EAM experience (preferred)
  • OAF customization and Oracle APEX development
  • Java, PL/SQL, SQL, and Oracle Workflow development
  • Oracle Database 12c on Linux; Toad and SQL*Plus
  • Familiarity with GE Vernova APM SaaS and SaaS integration experience (preferred)
  • Python (preferred)
  • Boomi (preferred)
  • Experience with AI tools such as Claude (preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work onsite in Houston, TX

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of IT application development and support experience
  • 3+ years supporting Oracle E-Business Suite
  • 3+ years supporting OAF customization and Oracle APEX development
