Cannington Location | Immediate Start | Temp to Permanent Opportunity

 

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join a well-established business based in the Cannington area.

This is a fantastic temporary-to-permanent opportunity, offering an attractive salary package of $80,000 + superannuation upon transitioning to a permanent position.

Working as part of a supportive Finance team, you'll take ownership of a variety of accounts payable responsibilities in a busy, high-volume environment.

 

The Role

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing high volumes of supplier and subcontractor invoices

  • Preparing fortnightly payment runs and ad hoc payments

  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies

  • Processing employee reimbursements and credit card reconciliations

  • Managing supplier queries and following up outstanding invoices

  • Ensuring accurate invoice coding and approvals

  • Assisting with month-end reconciliations and reporting

  • Working closely with internal stakeholders and the wider Finance team

 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in an Accounts Payable Officer position

  • Experience processing high-volume invoices and supplier reconciliations

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills

  • Confidence working with accounting systems or ERP software (MYOB advantageous)

  • Good Excel skills and an understanding of AP processes

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • Experience in construction, building or a multi-entity environment would be advantageous, but is not essential
