A 12-month temporary contract opportunity is available for an experienced AO5 Digital Content Officer with a strong focus on videography and multimedia production.
In this role, you will lead the creation of dynamic video and digital content that supports communication and engagement objectives. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to develop compelling visual stories and deliver content that connects with audiences across a range of platforms.
Operating with a high level of autonomy, you will manage end-to-end production processes while providing expert advice on digital storytelling and content optimisation.

In this role, you will lead the creation of dynamic video and digital content that supports communication and engagement objectives. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to develop compelling visual stories and deliver content that connects with audiences across a range of platforms.
Operating with a high level of autonomy, you will manage end-to-end production processes while providing expert advice on digital storytelling and content optimisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning, shooting and editing high-quality video content for digital channels
- Managing end-to-end multimedia production, from concept development to final delivery
- Collaborating with stakeholders to develop content aligned with strategic communication objectives
- Providing expert advice on videography, storytelling and digital engagement best practices
- Optimising content for various platforms including social media, web and internal channels
- Managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Maintaining video equipment and ensuring production standards are met
- Monitoring content performance and recommending improvements
- Ensuring all content aligns with brand, accessibility and government communication standards
- Demonstrated experience in videography and digital content production
- Strong technical skills in filming, editing and post-production (e.g. Premiere Pro, After Effects)
- Ability to develop compelling visual stories tailored to diverse audiences
- Experience managing end-to-end content production independently
- Strong stakeholder engagement and consultation skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver within tight timeframes
- Understanding of digital content trends and platform requirements
- Experience working within government or corporate communications environments (highly regarded)
- Relevant qualifications in film, media, communications or similar (desirable)
- $69-75 per hour + super
- 12-month temporary State Government contract
