Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are currently working with a leading cost consultancy that is looking to strengthen its Brisbane team with an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor / Senior Cost Consultant.

This is a great opportunity to join an established consultancy working across a diverse portfolio of major projects, with exposure to some of the most active sectors in the Queensland market.

The Opportunity

You will work across a broad range of projects, with the opportunity to develop your experience across sectors including:

• Data Centres
• Commercial & Mixed-Use
• Education
• Health & Aged Care
• Infrastructure
• Major Developments

You will be involved across the full project lifecycle, from early feasibility and cost planning through to procurement, tendering and post-contract services.

The Role

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will:

• Lead cost planning and estimating across major projects.
• Prepare feasibility studies, budgets and detailed cost plans.
• Manage tender documentation, procurement and tender analysis.
• Provide cost advice and commercial guidance to clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Undertake post-contract cost management, including valuations, variations, forecasting and reporting.
• Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, consultants and project stakeholders.
• Support and mentor junior members of the team.
• Take ownership of projects and play an active role in developing client relationships and repeat business.

About You

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor with:

• Senior-level experience within a cost consultancy / PQS environment.
• Strong technical QS and cost management experience.
• Experience working across major building or infrastructure projects.
• Excellent cost planning, estimating and post-contract skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to manage projects independently while supporting more junior team members.
• A commercial mindset and genuine interest in developing your career within consultancy.

Experience across data centres, infrastructure, commercial, education or health would be highly regarded, although candidates from other major project sectors will also be considered.
