Accounts Receivable Officer (3-Month Contract to Permanent)

Location: South Western Suburbs
Contract: 3-Month contract with strong potential to become permanent
Start Date: Immediate start required

An established manufacturing business based in the South Western Suburbs is seeking an Accounts Receivable Officer to join their finance team on an initial 3-month contract, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position for the right person.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys transactional finance and thrives in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and attention to detail are key. Our client is looking for someone who is available to start immediately.

The Role

  • Processing and reconciling bank statements daily
  • Matching incoming payments to customer invoices
  • Investigating and resolving payment discrepancies
  • Maintaining accurate financial records
  • Assisting with account reconciliations
  • Supporting the wider finance team with transactional accounting duties
  • Liaising with internal departments regarding payment queries

 

About You

  • Available to start immediately
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in an Accounts Officer, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Assistant, or similar transactional finance role
  • Strong experience with bank reconciliations and payment allocations
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • The ability to work independently and manage a busy workload
  • Experience using Sage Accpac would be highly advantageous, although not essential
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach
