Salary: $60,000 - $85,000 per year

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Billing & Admissions Specialist to join our Skilled Nursing Facility team. This position plays a key role in supporting both the business office and admissions functions, ensuring accurate insurance billing, timely follow-up, and a smooth resident admissions process.

What You'll Do

• Process and manage medical insurance billing for Skilled Nursing Facility residents.
• Verify insurance coverage, benefits, eligibility, and authorization requirements.
• Work with Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, commercial insurance, and other payers.
• Follow up on unpaid claims, denials, billing discrepancies, and outstanding balances.
• Maintain accurate billing records and resident account information.
• Assist with admissions paperwork, resident intake, and coordination with families and internal departments.
• Ensure all documentation is complete and accurate throughout the admissions process.
• Communicate effectively with insurance companies, residents, families, and facility staff.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum of 2 years of insurance billing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or nursing home is required.
• Strong knowledge of medical insurance billing and reimbursement processes in a nursing home setting.
• Experience working with Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and commercial insurance.
• Admissions experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or healthcare environment is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-up skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
