Job Summary

Are you looking to build your welding skills in a hands-on manufacturing environment? A Muskegon manufacturer is seeking an Entry-Level Welder to join their team. In this role, you'll perform tack welding and support production while following quality and safety standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Perform tack welding to hold components in place for further production or assembly.
• Read and follow basic work instructions, measurements, and job specifications.
• Position and align parts before tack welding.
• Inspect welds and completed work for basic quality requirements.
• Use welding equipment, hand tools, and measuring tools safely.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety procedures, wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), and assist with other production duties as needed.

What We're Looking For (Qualifications & Skills)

Qualifications:

• Some prior welding experience, training, or coursework is required.
• Basic knowledge of tack welding and welding safety.
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform physical work throughout the shift.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.

Skills:

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic measuring and math skills.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work safely as part of a team.
