About the Role
As a FIFO Paramedic, you will provide frontline medical care and emergency response services to site personnel while supporting the health and wellbeing of the workforce. Working in a remote mining environment, you'll be responsible for managing medical incidents, conducting health assessments, coordinating emergency responses, and maintaining clinical standards on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to medical emergencies and workplace incidents
- Deliver primary healthcare and clinical assessments
- Provide emergency and trauma management
- Coordinate patient evacuations and transfers when required
- Support injury management and return-to-work programs
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and medical records
- Ensure medical facilities, equipment, and supplies remain operational and compliant
- Current and unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Paramedic
- Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response (Mines Rescue)
- Current CPR certification
- Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification (if required by the client)
- Full Australian Driver's Licence
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening
- Australian working rights
- Ability to obtain and maintain mine site clearances
- Previous FIFO or remote site medic experience
- On-road ambulance experience
- White Card
- Experience in occupational health, injury management, and health surveillance
- Additional emergency response, rescue, or fire qualifications
- Experience using electronic medical record systems
