Overview:
The Material Handler is responsible for efficiently and accurately fulfilling customer orders by pulling, assembling,
and loading products. This position also involves repacking damaged products, maintaining warehouse
cleanliness, performing inventory counts, and ensuring safety and compliance across warehouse operations.
Essential Functions:
• Pull product using assigned pick lists for outgoing shipments.
• Assemble and wrap pallets with requested product.
• Load palletized product onto trucks according to customer orders.
• Repack damaged product into new boxes and prepare for shipment.
• Clean and maintain assigned warehouse areas and dispose of trash appropriately.
• Unload incoming trucks and verify product condition.
• Move product from floor to racking locations and update location records.
• Provide updated product locations to administrative staff for tracking accuracy.
• Perform daily operational and safety checklists on equipment.
• Identify and promptly report safety hazards or equipment issues.
• Participate in physical inventory counts and reconciliation activities.
• Inspect trailers for safety and sanitation prior to loading.
• Verify all received products match purchase orders and are in good quality condition.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 6 months of experience as a Forklift Operator.
• Ability to lift and maneuver cases over 50 lbs continuously.
• Basic math and reading comprehension skills in English.
• Experience operating a Stand-up Forklift, Sit-down Forklift, Pallet Jack, and Aisle Master equipment.
