Data Center Automation Engineer (BMS/EPMS) (English Only)

A global technology innovator powering one of the world's largest cloud infrastructure platforms is seeking an experienced Data Center Controls Engineer to drive automation and controls engineering across mission-critical data centers in Japan.

Responsibilities:
- Deploy, upgrade, and maintain Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS)
- Support controls engineering for new data center construction and infrastructure projects
- Perform system testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
- Deliver controls engineering projects while managing schedules, vendors, risks, and project quality
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to building automation and industrial control systems
- Collaborate with engineering, construction, operations, procurement, and external vendors
- Support continuous improvements in automation standards, operational procedures, and system reliability
- Maintain engineering documentation, system records, and technical drawings
- Occasionally travel to data center sites in Tokyo, Chiba, and Kanagawa
 

Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience delivering data center, industrial automation, or critical infrastructure projects
- Hands-on experience with Building Management Systems (BMS), Building Automation Systems (BAS), or Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS)
- Experience with industrial automation, PLC programming, and control systems
- Ability to read electrical drawings, control diagrams, and network schematics
- Experience with commissioning, troubleshooting, and project delivery
- Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills
